Services
-
We offer in-home pet sitting only, and don’t provide boarding.
Pet sitting means our sitters come to your home to care for your floof and follow their usual routine. Boarding typically involves pets staying overnight in someone else’s home or a boarding facility.
Our services are focused entirely on in-home care, so we’re able to support floofs in their own space and keep things as familiar as possible.
-
Nope! Our Overnights are an all-in-one service, so there’s no need to book additional Drop-ins. We plan overnight care so your Floof is never left alone for longer than you’re comfortable with, and all scheduled care—like meals, walks, and other routines—are always covered.
We make sure to match you with a sitter who is able to follow your Floof’s routine and care preferences, so you can head out knowing everything is still right on track.
-
A Drop-in is a set amount of time that the sitter spends at your home. During that visit, care can be customized to your Floof’s needs—like meals, a short walk, litter scooping, playtime, or other routine care.
A Walk means the entire scheduled time is spent walking your pup, with the focus fully on exercise and outdoor time.
-
Absolutely! If you’re unsure which service is the best fit, you’re still welcome to send in a request. That gives us a chance to learn more about you and your Floof(s), and helps us recommend care that makes the most sense for your needs.
Requesting a Service is the best way for us to gather the details we need so we can give you helpful recommendations and an accurate estimate.
-
Our Longweekender overnight package typically runs from Friday evening through Monday morning, while a Jetsetter applies to six or more overnights in a row.
The Longweekender is discounted because it aligns with the most common travel timeframe and is generally easier for sitters to accommodate within their schedules. Jetsetter stays, on the other hand, involve a longer continuous commitment, which can take more planning to ensure the right coverage and ask a sitter to be away from their own home and routine for an extended period.
Our pricing is structured to reflect the level of planning and availability needed for each type of stay, rather than a “more nights = lower cost” model. This helps us provide consistent, reliable care for longer stays as well as shorter trips.
Business Practices
-
Yes! We’re insured through Hartford Underwriters Insurance, so you can feel confident knowing your home and floof are covered while in our care.
-
We ask for payment upfront to confirm your booking and reserve time with a sitter. This allows us to uphold our cancellation policy and keep scheduling running smoothly.
Paying in advance also ensures our sitters are paid in a timely manner for their work and care. Once your service is confirmed, you can head out knowing everything is in place and your floof’s care is fully arranged.
-
We’re thoughtful about who we bring onto our team and look for people with a genuine passion for pets. Many of our sitters come through our own network of existing sitters and trusted clients so they can jump on board ready to go! Each person goes through an in-person interview before joining Floof Club.
During the interview process, we talk through their experience with animals, comfort levels with different types of care, and which services would be the best fit. We look for sitters who truly love animals and who want to provide floofs with the same attention and respect they give their own pets.
Our goal is to build a team of reliable, compassionate sitters who provide consistent, high-quality care, and we take care in matching each floof with someone who fits their needs and routine.
We also prioritize getting to know each sitter personally through our interview process and working relationship. Many of our sitters come from professional backgrounds where they’ve already completed their own vetting or background checks, and we take care to build a team we trust to care for our clients’ homes and floofs.
-
Tips are always appreciated, but never required! At least 70% of every service goes directly to your sitter, ensuring they’re fairly compensated for their time and care without relying on tips alone.
-
Emergencies are rare, but sometimes pets get into things they shouldn’t or a health issue can come up unexpectedly. If something concerns us, we always take a “better safe than sorry” approach and consult with a veterinary professional to help determine the best next steps.
We’ll keep you informed about what’s going on and involve you in decisions whenever possible. If we’re unable to reach you, we may contact your emergency contacts to help determine next steps. We’ll always try to reach you first before seeking treatment; however, if we’re unable to make contact and believe care is needed, we may move forward with a vet visit to ensure your floof’s safety.
If a vet visit is needed, we’ll bring your floof to the primary or emergency clinic listed on your Intake Form whenever possible. If those options aren’t available, we’ll locate the nearest appropriate emergency clinic.
If an issue occurs during our care and is determined to be our responsibility, our insurance may provide coverage and Floof Club will cover any related damages. If veterinary care is needed due to a pre-existing condition, illness, or another non-service-related issue, the client is responsible for associated medical costs. We’ll always keep you updated and provide any documentation needed if veterinary care becomes necessary.
How it works
-
First, you’ll Submit a Request with details about your home and Floof(s). From there, a member of our team will reach out to confirm your request and ask any follow-up questions.
If you haven’t completed one already, we’ll send you an Intake Form to fill out. Once all the details are confirmed, we’ll assign a sitter and schedule a Meet & Greet (if the sitter hasn’t worked with you before).
-
Yes! Whenever a new sitter is assigned to your floof, we schedule a complimentary Meet & Greet at your home. This gives everyone a chance to get comfortable, go over routines, locate supplies, and make sure we understand your floof’s day-to-day care.
If for any reason it doesn’t feel like the right fit, just let us know—we’ll work quickly to arrange alternative coverage.
-
Depending on the level of care for your Floof(s), Meet and Greet’s tend to take no more than 30 minutes.
-
Submit an application and we’ll be in touch! We’re always interested in working with enthusiastic, caring humans who have a passion for pets 💛
